§ 16-37. Application for license required, contents.

  • An application in writing shall be made to the mayor and council for a license to keep, maintain, operate and conduct a pool or billiard room. Such application must be signed by the party applying for such license and must contain the following:

    (1)

    The place where the room is to be conducted or operated.

    (2)

    The number of pool or billiard tables that are to be used in the pool or billiard room.

    (3)

    An agreement by the applicant that he will keep a decent and orderly place and that there will be no screens, partitions or divisions of any kind by which one passing along the front of such place of business will be prevented from having a full, free and unobstructed view of the entire interior of such place and everyone therein.

    (4)

    An agreement by the applicant that such place of business shall not be opened at all on Sundays and that no one will be allowed to enter the place of business or play any games therein or remain therein after the closing time.
